As a Process Engineer at Lam, you will operate on cutting-edge technology, harnessing atomic precision, material science, and surface engineering to push technical boundaries. Your role involves developing new and advanced process formulations, defining equipment hardware to meet processing requirements, evaluating test data, and coordinating design requirements to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Your expertise and knowledge play a crucial role our customers success, making an impact on the next generation of semiconductor breakthroughs.

In this role, you will directly contribute to Metrology FIB Engineering.

What You’ll Do

This position is an exciting opportunity to join Lam's electron microscopy/metrology team in Yong-in. You basically operate FIB(Focused Ion Beam) or in situ STEM tools. Samples are representative of a diverse set of processes from across the integrated circuit (IC) manufacturing process and will provide a dynamic set of challenges and opportunities for growth over the long term. Successful candidates will be able to perform the following duties:

•Preparation of samples using Focused Ion Beam (FIB) to create microscopy lamella
•TEM experience is plus
•Generate best-in-class data through quality control and continuous improvement
•Proper handling of sensitive customer samples and intellectual property
•Assisting customers in locating regions of interest, interpreting data, and troubleshooting when data does not meet expectations. 
•Communicate with team members to facilitate technique transfers, pass down sample learnings, and advance the state of the art in semiconductor microscopy
•Maintain integrity of experiments and data in order to provide valid results.
•Requires sufficient technical familiarity with analysis tools and techniques to manage vendors and interact efficiently with vendor field service engineers when need arises to help deliver maximum asset availability
•Tool sets include: FIB(Focused Ion-Beam) assisted TEM sample-preparation techniques, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Other metrology instruments helpful, such as TEM(Transmission Electron Microscope)

Who We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience operating FIB(focused ion beam)
  • 2+ years of relative analysis experience or experience with 2+ FIB-TEM sample preparation
  • Experience in semiconductor, display, battery industry plus
  • Experience working in an academic, professional laboratory setting or industry
  • Knowledge of semiconductor devices and industry preferred
  • Business level of English communication skill is preferred
  • Positive mind, Good team work member preferred
