is the EH&S team under the Regional Operation Management Business Unit, where you will be working as a SAPA Specialist.
The impact you’ll make
At Lam, as an EH&S Engineer, you're instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental safety programs and policies. Ensuring compliance with regulations, you'll perform safety inspections, conduct trainings, and oversee hazardous waste vendors and processes. Your expertise spans to life safety, workplace ergonomics, and monitoring industrial health compliance. Acting as a liaison with regulatory agencies you'll not only stay current but also reinforce Lam's commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
What you’ll do
Control tower for entire company S/H management
- Serve as a control tower for company-wide safety & health management, leading governance, performance monitoring, risk oversight, and continuous improvement in compliance with global and local legal requirements
Establishment of EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) goals and management of KPIs
- Ensures an effective EHS management plan is established and implemented as planned
EHS legal compliance and reporting of compliance review results
- Ensures regulatory compliance for EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety), including KOSHA (Korea Occupational Safety and Health Act), SAPA (Serious Accident Punishment Act), and regulatory report
- Report to management on matters stipulated and by law and compliance review
- Ensures training programs are being carried out to meet local regulations and Lam global safety requirement
- Measures related to the fulfillment of obligations under safety and health-related laws like safety and health committee etc. (Legal obligations excluding education: safety & health committee, general/special medical check (incl. cardiovascular disease investigation), MSD risk factors survey, etc.)
Confirmation of adequacy of site EHS manpower allocation
- Measures concerning the establishment and implementation of a safety and health management system, such as manpower and budget necessary to prevent EHS event
Evaluation of both supplier’s EHS management system and its implementation
- Prepare the evaluation standards & procedures for supplier’s EHS management system and ensure (including check and feedback if any gap) the evaluation process is implemented for supplier’s safety & health
EHS sustainability management program support and participation (RIMT, BCP, etc.)
- Coordinate and participate in RIMT (Regional Incident Management Team)
- Coordinate and participate in the establishment/update/drill of BCP (Business Continuity Plan)
Site EHS support
- Support site EHS regarding customer requirements, site OH (Occupational Health) activities (Health promotion programs etc.) and IH (Industrial Hygiene) activities including chemical hazard exposure assessment, MSDS management, and work environment monitoring
- Ensures corporate EHS guidelines/programs (risk assessment, daily safety cycle, etc.) are implemented and updated properly in accordance with local regulations and company EHS Systems.
- Ensure the timeline and quality of RCCA in Lam incident reporting and investigation
Who we’re looking for
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience, compliance management for Serious Accident Punishment Act and other realted Occupational H&S Act & occupational accidents, H&S audit by government, etc.)) with a Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent work experience/Certificate.
- Certificates for both Registered Nurse and Industrial Safety Engineer are mandatorily required.
- A good english communication in speaking and writing skills

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
