The Impact You’ll Make
At Lam, as an FP&A staff you're central to managing and enhancing our FP&A systems. With a keen eye for detail, you interpret financial reporting requirements, balance the books, and ensure accuracy of profit and loss, cash flow, income, and balance sheet statements. Your expertise extends to monthly report generation, supporting informed decision making. You contribute to Lam's financial accuracy and compliance.
What You’ll Do
As a member of the Finance team, you will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making through financial planning and analysis. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing finance operations with a focus on management accounting
- Collecting and analyzing data for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Supporting the creation of P&L statements for the Japan region
- Conducting financial analysis using specialized knowledge
- Participating in finance-related projects
- Collaborating with Controllers and FP&A Managers
- Partnering with cross-functional teams
- Reporting to the Finance team at U.S. headquarters as needed
- Other finance-related tasks
Who We’re Looking For

- 4–7 years of experience in finance, accounting, internal controls, or related fields
- Experience reporting to and supporting managers
- Certification: Japan Bookkeeping Level 2 or equivalent knowledge
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to travel internationally (1–2 times/year)
- Proficiency in Excel (functions, pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP
- Native-level Japanese
- Business-level English (TOEIC ~730 or equivalent; reading, writing, and basic conversation)

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
