The Impact You’ll Make
Develops and administers staffing/employment/recruiting programs. Works with hiring manager to document requirements of job openings as required opening requisition(s). Determines appropriate recruiting sources for advertising and posting positions. Promotes the company image to candidates and external service providers. Surfaces candidates and develops networks of people and processes to support a strong pipeline of qualified candidates. Pre-screens resumes and evaluates effectiveness of electronic candidate evaluation tools. Documents candidate evaluation and interview process. Negotiates and/or supports hiring manager in developing new hire compensation package/offers. May conduct employment background checks. Works with agencies, recruiting contractors and/or internet website representatives in the course of conducting employment advertising campaigns. May provide performance feedback on all recruiting agencies/sources. May develop, support and maintain college recruiting, affirmative action and career development programs. Professionals at the higher levels may specialize in technical recruiting and/or highly specialized executive searches. May also assist with the immigration process and administration as a liaison with immigration attorneys.
What You’ll Do
- A dedicated person in Japan region, with clear R&Rs to focus and cultivate long-term collaboration and relations with targeted schools/ universities.
Exploring differentiable, valuable, and sustainable university relations programs.
The R&Rs include:- Partnering with regional business leaders, Human Resources and Comms to generate roadmap and strategies that strengthen brand awareness and talent acquisition, through effective university engagement.
- Leading the campus relation strategy and execution.
- Developing, evaluating, and expanding the critical university partnerships with key faculty, administration, and student organizations
- Establishing and executing unique and cohesive campus events with a focus on
- Student scholarship, thesis award, education support, Unlock Ideas, university joint projects and seminars.
- Supporting cross functional branding efforts.
- Supporting regional branding strategies/ actions involved students and universities, on-campus, virtual presence, social media, …, etc.
- Supporting projects spread between Brand marketing, Workplace Experience, Recruitment and university initiatives.
- Supporting government relation engagement.
Who We’re Looking For

- Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
- Proven track record in university relations. Understanding of what it means to be a brand ambassador.
- Self-motivated, dynamic, proactive, organized, highly responsive.
- Creative & out of the box thinking. Delivery excellence, attention to details.
- Ability to influence, consult and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management, creative problem-solving and ability to act independently.
- Willing to travel when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, public relations or a related field with a minimum of 8-10 years relevant experience in Recruitment or Marketing Communications; MBA preferred.
- Substantial university relations knowledge with demonstrated experience, preferably in the high technology industry and with global companies.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
