The impact you’ll make
Joining the team is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of business process transformation and to provide essential analytical support to the Regional Business Operations team.
What you’ll do
- Conduct scientific research and development to integrate and optimize chemical manufacturing processes for core hardware solutions
- Analyze data to identify process improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation projects
- Characterize material properties and ensure their compatibility with processes and hardware
- Conduct literature research and document existing processes and products
- Generate and contribute to scientific and technical publications
- Flexibility to travel to meet business requirements (<25% of the time)
Who we’re looking for
- Master's degree or diploma in chemistry, physics, materials science, or a related field
- Familiarity with working in a chemical laboratory, having experience in surface preparation and analytical techniques
- Experience with and understanding of chemical, optical, and mechanical surface analysis methods
- Strong proficiency in software tools for organizing and analyzing large data sets (e.g., Origin)
- Highly motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Excellent social skills with ability to work within diverse teams
- Independent and structured work ethic
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills in English
Internship details
Desired start date: immediately
Internship duration: 1 year; 38,5 h/week
Compensation
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry, according to the education level. Minimum gross monthly Salaries for fulltime internship employment are therefore: in occupation group C (Master Student); group D (PhD Student)
