The impact you’ll make

Ensures legal compliance and provides import/export administration and control within government rules and regulations, including appropriate licensing for shipments. Reviews contracts for required clauses and identifies omissions. Interfaces with internal and external customers, foreign order administration, freight forwarders, customs officers and other functional areas to ensure coordination and logistics of shipment. Selects carrier/forwarder for shipment of products and prepares documents for freight forwarders.

What you’ll do

• Plan, support, report specific type of shipments to worldwide customers
• Execute daily export compliance tasks
• Verify export documentation to ensure that same is accurately prepared and in compliance with LAM Research internal procedures, all relevant Customs/regulatory requirements
• Team with third party service providers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and suppliers as necessary to implement and/or maintain customs compliance and logistics processes in support of operations
• Communicate with Austrian customs office
• Review root cause and respond to export issues tied to customs data identified during internal audits
• Document desk procedure
• Create more efficient ways of recurring tasks with support of available tools and/or AI 

Who we’re looking for

• Completed apprenticeship in Business-Logistics-Apprenticeship or graduate of HAK/HAS would be preferred
• 2 years of related experience would be preferred
• Open minded personality
• Team player with ability to work well cross-functionally
• Ability and willingness to learn (GIS systems, processes)
• Confidence to make decisions and the accountability to uphold them
• Communicates clearly and professionally with internal teams and external partners across various forums and meetings.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and German

What we're offering

This position is subject to the AUSTRIAN Collective Bargaining Agreement for employees in the Metal Technology Industries in occupation group E. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise and skills.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
