The Global Finance Group drives financial strategies based on expert understanding of Lam's breakthrough technologies, the semiconductor market, and the global business environment. They manage our company's financials and relationships with our investor community to ensure we have the strong financial foundation to fuel innovation and growth.

 

The impact you’ll make

In this role, you’ll lead a global team and help shape how Lam delivers consolidated financial reporting. You’ll balance day-to-day close leadership with continuous improvement — building scalable processes, supporting strong controls, and partnering with teams across the company to solve problems and drive alignment. You’ll also play a key role in implementing and optimizing systems and tools that enable accurate, efficient consolidation and reporting.

What you’ll do

Our consolidations team supports reporting under both US GAAP and IFRS. In addition to close execution, you may also lead or contribute to work such as:

 

  • Support acquisitions, legal-entity restructurings, and other projects that help the business scale.
  • Work with Legal and Tax to maintain intercompany transaction policies and support documentation as the business evolves.
  • Review intercompany activity and related accounting to help ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Own key close controls and help strengthen our internal control environment.
  • Spot opportunities to simplify, automate, and standardize consolidation and reporting processes.
  • Partner with external auditors and internal stakeholders to support quarterly reviews and the annual audit.
  • Partner with the global leadership team on key initiatives and help ensure accurate consolidated results under both US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Provide oversight of the Internal Control Checklist processes.
  • Coordinate reporting activities across global organizations.

What you'll do, con't

 

  • Maintain and enhance intercompany transaction policies and documentation in partnership with Legal and Tax, as business needs evolve.
  • Monitor the execution and review the accounting for intercompany transactions.
  • Support special projects that enable growth and profitability initiatives.
  • Partner with Treasury by providing foreign-exchange analysis and insights that support hedging effectiveness.
  • Oversee analysis related to currency translation within the ERP consolidation module.
  • Serve as process owner for the Blackline Reconciliation Tool.
  • Lead a global team with personnel in the United States and Malaysia, supported by an extended contract team in India.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of monthly closing schedules.
  • Help standardize reporting practices and ways of working across regions to improve consistency and transparency.
  • Identify process improvements and automation opportunities across reporting and consolidations.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership experience in a large public company (technology industry experience is a plus).
  • CPA preferred.
  • Significant experience with SAP ERP system.
  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) related to consolidated financial statements, with experience in foreign currency analysis.
  • Ability to deliver time-sensitive analyses in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, high-quality work.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
