The impact you’ll make

As a Project Manager at Lam, you will play a pivotal role in driving projects/programs for NPI Pilot business group. You’ll be at the forefront of project initiation through delivery, using your expertise to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

What you’ll do

  • Single point of contact for engineering regarding Pilot Materials management.
  • Support PG shipments of unreleased material to customer sites.
  • Ensure all purchase parts have met release criteria to be shipped to external customers.
  • Participate in program CFT reviews as required to present status and mitigation for high-risk parts and gather information on upcoming design changes.
  • Support material availability for engineering changes including knowledge of potential for rework to Pilot MFG stakeholders.
  • Manage reservation demands in Engineering Stockroom locations.
  • Facilitate material transfers between Engineering Stockroom and Production Warehouse locations as needed.
  • Create and manage engineering material dashboard structure and plan to identify, track, and communicate value to DPG.
  • Create and execute CIP plans as necessary to support organizational goals.
  • Create and maintain product group specific materials management metrics.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to read, compare, and interpret product BOMs (Bills of Materials).
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and support while enforcing business process controls.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to concisely share verbal and written updates, tailored for a broad range of audiences—from manufacturing to engineering executive management.
  • Strong root-cause determination and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to operate independently without day-to-day supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex data with outstanding attention to detail.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
