The impact you’ll make

As a Back-End Day Manufacturing Manager, you will lead a high-performing team of supervisors and technicians operating on a compressed back-end day schedule. You’ll be responsible for driving execution, developing talent, and optimizing production performance in alignment with Lam’s strategic goals. This role is critical to ensuring safety, quality, and delivery excellence across a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and manage 6 supervisors and approximately 150 technicians working compressed back-end day shifts.
  • Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and material availability.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to improve performance across Key Performance Indicators: safety, quality, cost, delivery, and engagement.
  • Champion productivity improvements through leadership in people, process, and technology.
  • Provide clear direction and delegate effectively to maintain a strategic focus while supporting daily operations.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors to build a high-performing, engaged team.
  • Model Lam’s Core Values and demonstrate leadership competencies consistently.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and hold others accountable to the same standards.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations management, preferably in high-volume or cleanroom environments.
  • Proven ability to lead complex operations and large teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with capital equipment acquisition, forecasting, and basic design principles.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site at Lam’s High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM) facility in Tualatin, OR.
  • Must be capable of working in a controlled cleanroom environment, adhering to gowning and PPE requirements.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
