As a Master Scheduler in this global role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless flow of production by creating and maintaining detailed schedules. Your strategic foresight and precision will help align site schedules with company objectives, mitigate potential disruptions, and optimize resource allocation. By collaborating with various function heads and project managers, you'll forecast product needs and adjust schedules to meet dynamic industry demands. Your efforts will ensure scheduling adherence and maintain comprehensive records. By collaborating with global team members, you will align, support, and drive global planning best practices, ultimately enhancing efficiency and productivity across the organization.

What you’ll do

As a Master Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective scheduling of production activities across our global operations. You will work closely with various departments and international teams to create and maintain production schedules, monitor progress, and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and optimize resource utilization. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be key in supporting the smooth operation of our production processes on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain Global Production Schedules: Create detailed production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity across multiple locations. Update schedules as needed to reflect changes in priorities or resource availability.
  • Coordinate with International Departments: Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams across different regions to ensure alignment of schedules with material availability, production capabilities, and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor Global Production Progress: Track the progress of production activities against the schedule, identify potential delays or bottlenecks, and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Optimize Resource Utilization Globally: Analyze production data to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and resource utilization across all locations. Make recommendations for adjustments to schedules or processes to enhance productivity.
  • Communicate Schedule Changes Internationally: Effectively inform relevant stakeholders of any changes to the production schedule, ensuring clear and timely communication to minimize disruptions across different time-zones.
  • Maintain Scheduling Tools: Utilize scheduling software and tools to create and manage production schedules. Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the scheduling system.
  • Support Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling processes and overall production efficiency on a global scale.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of related experience, or an advanced degree with 2 years of experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective decision-making and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances and demands.
  • Critical thinking to foresee and avoid potential issues.
  • Ability to devise innovative solutions to achieve desired results within deadlines.

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of CPIM (Certified in Planning & Inventory Management) via APICS.
  • Knowledge of CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) via APICS.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
