The impact you’ll make

In this role, you will be able to directly contribute to the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) program development at the Lam Research, Taiwan Technology Center (TTC) research and development facility. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of EHS functions including environmental permitting, chemical safety, industrial hygiene, pre-task safety planning, hazardous materials communication, and emergency response. You will also be engaged in the leadership of a proactive, collaborative, and connecting safety culture.

What you’ll do

• Review EHS-related regulations and establish EHS procedures to ensure the working environment and operations meet government requirements.
• Plan and execute EHS programs and activities to improve employee safety and reduce workplace risks.
• Promote safety awareness activities.
• Identify hazards in fabs and offices and provide suggestions for control approaches.
• Perform occupational safety and hygiene audits and inspections in offices and customer sites to ensure compliance with government, customer, and Lam EHS policies, processes, and procedures.
• Manage contractor safety and communicate safety requirements to ensure contractors follow government, customer, and Lam EHS policies.
• Attend customer meetings and deliver EHS information between the customer and Lam.
• Communicate with customers, employees, and vendors regarding EHS-related issues.
• Lead incident investigations to determine the root cause and corrective actions.
• Discuss findings and propose corrective measures with supervisors and management, ensuring these measures are followed up on.
• Prepare and report EHS performance data.
• Support domestic or overseas customer sites when necessary.

Who we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Safety and Hygiene.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in occupational safety management within the semiconductor industry.
• Certified Occupational Safety or Health Management Specialist (具職業安全衛生管理師資格).
• Familiar with ISO45001
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• English proficiency with a TOEIC score of 700 or above.
• Based in Hsinchu, willingness to travel and support remote sites when required.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
