The impact you’ll make
As a Software Application Engineer at Lam, you will be part of the at the forefront of driving innovation and deployment of Lam Semiverse Solutions.
What you’ll do
- Work closely with critical accounts on leading edge technologies (Logic, DRAM, 3DNAND) to demonstrate the impact ofLam Semiverse Solutions products (including SEMulator3D® software) to drive faster and cheaper learning cycles inboth technology development and manufacturing ramp-up.
- Collaborate with a global team of engineers and collaboratively develop applications and use case demonstrationsrelevant to the virtual twinning of the industry.
- Partner with Semiverse Solutions Product Group and local Account/Sales teams to drive product strategy to businesssuccesses.
- Take on ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by the Immediate Supervisor
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years; or a PhD with no previous professional experience; or equivalent work experience.
- Good understanding of semiconductor environment (product life cycle from development to high volume manufacturing).
- Appetite for innovation and willingness to challenge best known practices.
- Fast learner with excellent communication and influencing skills
- Strong technical interest in digital/vitural twin solutions
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with software product development methodologies.
- Effective organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adjust to shifting priorities, and meet business needs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate and communicate with diverse, cross-functional, and matrixed internal and external partners.
- Prior semiconductor experience is preferred.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
