The impact you’ll make
At Lam, as an Accountant, you're central to managing and enhancing our accounting systems. With a keen eye for detail, you interpret financial reporting requirements, balance the books, and ensure accuracy of profit and loss, cash flow, income, and balance sheet statements. Your expertise extends to monthly report generation, supporting informed decision making. You contribute to Lam's financial accuracy and compliance.
What you’ll do
1.Commercial Operations & Revenue Management
Oversee local business operations for China legal entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial processes.
Partner with account teams to structure and generate SAP contracts for internal cost allocation and revenue billing.
Monitor service case progress with the account team; collect and validate supporting documentation to enable invoicing.
Issue tax invoices or coordinate invoicing matters with third-party providers for China legal entities and regional branches.
Perform weekly GR status checks on customer platforms and submit VAT invoices through the designated online portals or via email.
Track and reconcile the output VAT GL account, ensuring proper month-end clearing.
Prepare monthly sales revenue analytics, and reconcile sales data with VAT output reports.
Ensure all operational procedures comply with internal control standards and external regulatory requirements.
2. Accounts Receivable Management
Process RMB AR clearing upon receipt of customer payments to China entities.
Monitor outstanding invoices and proactively follow up on customer payment schedules in partnership with the account team.
Review and confirm customer AR confirmation letters to ensure accuracy of balances.
Prepare quarterly customer cash-flow forecasts to support business planning.
3. Balance Sheet Reconciliation & Intercompany Coordination
Support monthly balance sheet reconciliation for revenue and AR-related accounts, and take corrective actions as required.
Analyze and settle intercompany (ICO) transactions with internal trading partners.
Register non-trade agreements in the e-tax system and ensure VAT/WHT obligations are fulfilled prior to payment processing.
4. Audit & Compliance Support
Support internal and external audits with respect to revenue recognition, AR processes, and related financial controls.
Perform additional tasks and special projects assigned by the manager to support business and compliance needs.
5. Ad hoc tasks assigned by management
Who we’re looking for

1.Bachelor degree in accounting or related |
|
2.A minimum of 8 years of relevant PRC GAAP reporting and AR/Revenue experience in a medium to large size environment including substantial experience with a reputable MNC |
|
3.Excellent knowledge of China and US GAAP, especially revenue recognition standars |
|
4.Fluent in English language skills, both verbal and written, good at meeting deadlines and solving problems |
|
5.Proficient in MS Word and Excel, experience with SAP |
|
6.Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail |

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
