Leads process improvement initiatives through the disciplined use of measurements, accountability, analysis and discussion of process alternatives in order to arrive at best practices. Plans, manages, and controls the activities of a team that provides operational support for a business segment, group or team. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts in process improvement, data capture and analysis, infrastructure support, tool ownership and compliance with procedures, etc. Advises business groups by providing strategic direction to initiative prioritization, integration and resource application. Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function.

What you’ll do

Seeking a high caliber individual with a proven track record ready to run and grow operations in the North America region As the Director of Regional Business Operations, you will be responsible for day-to-day operations required to deliver our customer’s production ramp to plan, manage our P&L and provide direct operational support to the Regional Operations Executive to meet our Strategic and Annual Operating Plan objectives. Core responsibilities include:

  • Owns/operates Regional Business Operation execution system: processes and accountability to deliver predictable results for Annual Objectives & financial forecast commits at the region level
  • Supports Regional Operations Executive in setting global stretch objectives aligned to customer business outlook and company strategy
  • Drives predictable financial performance through effective and efficient management of financial reviews
  • Coordinates all points of data and reporting to set up an integrated system of regional operations performance reviews
  • Oversee installed base operations, including workforce planning, safety and quality
  • Oversee regional capital equipment and spares order fulfillment process performance and efficiencies
  • Risk management and escalation support
  • Leads NA field safety initiatives and reporting
  • Develops business process continuous improvement efforts

Who we’re looking for

  • 7 years of experience leading teams in a high-tech industry, preferably with a minimum of 3 years in program management roles
  • History of predictable business results: making aggressive commitments and meeting them
  • High aptitude with business processes and operational execution
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills; bias to action
  • Adaptable, flexible, and versatile leader with strong analytical capabilities
  • Operational background preferred
  • Able to lead & influence technically strong employees

Preferred qualifications

BS/BA, MBA preferred Operations background, preferably in semiconductor industry with Etch and Deposition product and process knowledge

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

 

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $155,000.00 -  $324,000.00.

 

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
