What you’ll do

Configuration Engineer is responsible for generating and maintaining Order Bills of Materials (OBOM) to ensure that customer-requested product options are accurately reflected in the ordered equipment, based on predefined option configurations provided by the Engineering team.

This role focuses on translating customer requirements into executable OBOMs rather than performing engineering design or performance development activities. Key responsibilities include reviewing customer quotations and specifications, incorporating non-standard customer requests, and applying engineering changes to the Order Bill of Material (OBOM) to ensure on-time and accurate implementation.

Success in this position is measured by the ability to ensure that all customer-selected options are correctly implemented in the equipment, aligned with customer specifications, and delivered within the required schedule.

 

  • Create and maintain the Order Bill of Materials (OBOM) for customer-requested configuration, including:
    1. Quotation in CRM that comes through CTLs (Change Tracking Logs)
    2. Non-Standard Request (NSR) Implementation

    3. Change Order (CO) Implementation

 

  • Manage configuration and BOM-related inquiries and assignments
  • Participate in cross functional teams to resolve issues

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with MRP system planning, ordering, and scheduling materials, preferably using SAP, preferred
  • Previous experience: Planning, manufacturing or engineering related
  • Knowledge of Bill of Material (BOM) structures and Engineering Change process
  • Knowledge of semiconductor capital equipment
