The impact you’ll make

At Lam, as a Supply Chain Business Manager, you play a crucial role in partnering with suppliers to drive operational excellence. Your data-driven approach ensures effective planning, scheduling, and monitoring material movement through our dynamic global production cycle. You’ll benchmark and monitor supplier performance to manage risk. By driving continuous supplier process improvements you support the productivity and efficiency of Lam's operations.

Job Responsibilities

Position Summary

Defines metrics and monitor supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement.  Regularly evaluate quality and performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection. 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Continuously working on process improvement to deploy & develop best known methods related to procurement, inventory control (e.g., Consignment) & manufacturing strategies
• Encourages and coordinates early supplier involvement in highly technical and/or contractually complex new products parts design using the suppliers’ expertise to optimize quality and manufacturability.
• Established goals with supplier to ensure material delivery meet forecasted demand.
• Represents supplier business management on a cross-functional commodity teams that focuses on supply challenges, and to ensure internal/external customer needs are satisfied.
• Works with engineering and the supplier to resolve complex problem to ensure on time delivery of critical material to support customer and company requirements.
• Develops presentation, white papers, process flow charts to support continuous process improvement projects.

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related field
• More than 8 years of Supply Chain Management experience on direct & indirect materials and services
• Strong Knowledge on Purchasing agreement or contract
• Enough experience on development, management and improvement of supplier performance metrics such as OTD, Consignment and Leadtime
• Familiar with semiconductor or high-technology supply management practices, standards and organization
• Solid analytical and written/oral communication skills with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization including Executives
• Skills
  -. MS Office intermediate
  -. ERP familiarity, SAP expertise strongly preferred
  -. Good command of English
  -. Effective communication skill in inter-departmental and cross cultural environment

• Project Management / Team Lead experience
• Experience with working with global suppliers and managing critical issues through collaboration with internal/external stakeholders

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
