The impact you’ll make

We are seeking a Technical Instructor to help deliver Lam’s Manufacturing Academy core curriculum to our manufacturing team.

  • Deliver instructor-led classroom instruction with hands-on training and coaching
  • Apply ADDIE model for new and refreshed training course/program deliverables and job aids
  • Iterate on our curriculum and support instructional designers and SMEs to build new curriculum content where needed.
  • Measure and document student progress
  • Gather KPIs to inform on strengths and weakness with curricular materials.
  • Partner with Lam’s manufacturing team to identify enhancement areas of training to improved safety, quality and increase skills to build our equipment.
  • Interact with internal stakeholders, supervisors, floor trainers and other organizations to assess effectiveness of the training organization for continuous improvement.
 

What you’ll do

To succeed in the role, the ideal candidate will need to combine practical learning experience and engaging teaching methods to deliver high-quality instruction. We’re are in the semi-conductor industry with worldwide demand for computer chips. Our customer needs are critical so the ideal candidate will need to be willing to roll up their sleeves, efficiently prioritize, and deliver quick results.

Who we’re looking for

  • 1-3 years of relevant Instructor Lead Technical Training
  • Experience with Manufacturing
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in all Microsoft Applications including SharePoint, Yammer, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat and Illustrator. 

Preferred qualifications

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including strong writing and speaking skills.
  • Demonstrated use of multiple learning methods and linking appropriate methods with learners and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess training effectiveness.
  • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts, global stakeholders, and managers.
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves, tackle diverse and varied problems, and find innovative, scalable solution
  • Experience with e-learning tools such as Camtasia 9, Articulate Storyline 360 and Vyond

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
