The impact you’ll make
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Senior Manager to join our team at our new manufacturing plant in Kulim Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective EHS programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
- Oversee the development, planning, and implementation of EHS policies and procedures throughout all project phases, from construction and commissioning to sustenance operations.
- Leverages Lam’s existing EHS policies and programs and develop procedures (e.g., construction safety, chemical safety, ergonomics, incident, illness and injury prevention, emergency response, etc.) for the manufacturing plants
- Ensures compliance with all applicable EHS compliance obligations and handles all interactions with DOE, DOSH and all other applicable agencies.
- Manage EHS approval, permits, licensing for the Plant operations.
- Manages site EHS training programs for employees in areas including ergonomics, hazardous material handling, fall protection, control of hazardous energies, MHE safety, logistics safety, emergency response, and other identified compliance training requirements.
- Leads proactive risk assessment reviews and ensures appropriate corrective actions are taken to mitigate identified EHS risks.
- Acts as a point of contact with Global EHS, Asia ESG as well as EHS-related needs from site personnel and management.
- Provides governance by conducting routine EHS compliance inspections, audit incident investigations and final closure.
- Participates in Global Environmental, Health & Safety, ESG initiatives as required
- Partners with the ESG Team, Corporate Communications on annual Corporate Social Responsibility reports and ensures that site CSR / EHS goals align.

Who we’re looking for
Experience:
- 15-20 years of working experience in EHS field in semiconductor manufacturing and Logistic of multinational companies.
- Experience in a new start-up company, Contractors Safety, Manufacturing Safety, Logistic Safety, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, RBA Code of Conduct
- Well verse with Hazardous Energy Control, Equipment Safety, Material Handling Equipment Safety, Ergonomic Risk Assessment and Controls

- Has experience and knowledge in the areaof environmental management including, but not limited to wastewater management, air emission tracking and reductions, and chemical waste compliance
- 8 years of experience in a corporate EHS or governance role
Preferred qualifications
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations and industry related standards
- Construction and Commissioning EHS experience and an injury-free mindset
EHS Certification
- SHO certification registration with DOSH
- Competency in Scheduled Waste Management, preferable
- ISO 14001 Lead Auditor & ISO 45001 Auditor, preferable

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
