The impact you’ll make

As a Quality Engineer at Lam, you'll make an impact in ensuring manufacturing processes and products meet quality standards by designing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance within the quality management systems (QMS). You design methods for inspecting & evaluating the accuracy of production processes and the finished products.This role also will require candidate to manage a group of Quality Technicians responsible for final source inspection and pre-shipment audits. 

What you’ll do

  • Manages a team of Quality Technicians including coaching and mentorship in their task and development.
  • Responsible to ensure every shift is adequately staffed with Quality Technicians. 
  • Manage final source inspection & pre-shipment audit scheduling and activities.
  • Responsible to monitor, recommending and implementing improvements related to Quality.
  • Work closely with manufacturing to improve quality issues include issue escalations.
  • Responsible for monitoring quality of Investigation & RCCA (Root Cause/Corrective Action) by stakeholders in ensuring high probability that issues will not recur in factory.
  • Assess effectiveness of corrective action and improvement activities changes.
  • Supports all Global Quality and GOPS quality projects and Management System Assessments (Audits).
  • Specific task and project assign by superior from time to time.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalence.
  • Factory Quality excursion management & operations management. 
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding in problem statement creation and root cause determination (8D/5Why/Ishikawa).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible to provide odd hours support during Quality excursion/escalation.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
