The impact you’ll make
The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible to provide leadership and lead multiple programs related to people development, delivery and adhoc assignment to support the needs of manufacturing across shifts. This role also will require the candidate to be flexible to work in shift patterns based on business needs to lead respective shift to manage & accountable for the overall Manufacturing Operations KPI. Candidate must provide clear expectations and directions to respective shift team Supervisors and DL which include coordinating resources and maintaining operating procedures, production plans and company core values. This is a high visibility position that requires a seasoned and well-rounded candidate with experience in leading & managing shift Supervisors and direct labours, great command of communication, able to multitask and work in fast-paced environment.
What you’ll do
- Responsible to lead and drive multiple programs and efforts related to people development, delivery and adhoc assignment by management.
- Responsible to monitor and manage shift operations performance to ensure efficiency & compliance with Safety, Quality & Cost.
- Responsible to provide leadership to Supervisors or leaders to resolve shift operation issues.
- Responsible to ensure production operations are adequately staffed and trained.
- Lead Safety & Quality issue investigation that occurred in shift and ensure timely closure onassigned action plans.
- Provide coaching to team Supervisors and leaders on problem solving.
- Coordinate across functional departments to ensure smooth execution in shift, know when toescalate issues.
- Analyse shift performance to identify area for improvement thru strategic planning.
- Responsible to manage work performance, development plans and disciplinary related issueswith ER/HR.
- Frequently interact & hold meet people session with direct labours to gauge feedback and workon improvement areas.
- Manage internal stakeholders and/or cross functional team in resolving matters.
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, manufacturing or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience as Shift or Operations Manager in Manufacturingenvironment.
- Experience in leading project management related to people development.
- Strong understanding of operational processes, efficiency optimization, human factor andorganizational behaviour.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset, strong decision maker.
- Effective people and stakeholder management skills, collaborative.
- Excellent communication in both written and spoken, leadership and people management skill
- Ability to manage complex situations, work under tight time constraints and effectively work in across-matrixed environment
- Must be capable of working & stationed inside controlled clean room environment, adhering toall specified gown and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Able to work in rotational 12hrs shift pattern when needed.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
