The impact you’ll make
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Senior Engineer to join our team at our new manufacturing plant in Kulim Malaysia.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective EHS programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
- Assist in development, planning, and implementation of EHS policies and procedures throughout all project phases, from construction and commissioning to sustenance operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS regulations and manage interactions with DOE, DOSH, Fire Service Department, and other applicable Malaysia Authorities.
- Assist in schedule waste management to ensure in compliance with Malaysia Scheduled Waste Regulations
- Assist in implementation of EHS training programs for employees in areas such as ergonomics, hazardous materials handling, fall protection, energy control, emergency response, and additional mandated topics. Deliver EHS training to both employees and contractors in accordance with identified needs.
- Conduct proactive EHS risk assessments and ensure corrective actions are implemented to mitigate risks associated with manufacturing and logistics activities.
- Audit construction sites to verify compliance with both corporate and legal EHS standards.
- Provide governance by carrying out regular EHS compliance inspections, incident investigations, and overseeing the completion of corrective actions.
- Facilitate the Incident Prevention Program and coordinate EHS promotional initiatives.
- Establish and review environmental, safety, and health procedures on a regular basis.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and response efforts, including organizing ERT training sessions and periodic emergency drills.
- Promote logistical safety by developing and implementing material handling equipment training and certification programs, based on business needs.
- Organize EHS committee meetings, prepare reports on time, and follow up to address any EHS concerns raised.

- Ability to apply EHS standards and regulatory knowledge to plant operations
- Ability to lead a cross-functional teams to meet EHS objectives and accident free workplace
- Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct EHS performance reviews.
- Submit regulatory reports promptly in accordance with requirements.
- Perform additional EHS responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Who we’re looking for
Experience:
- 8-15 years of working experience in EHS field in manufacturing and Logistic of multinational companies.
- Experience in a new start-up company, Contractors Safety, Manufacturing Safety, Logistic Safety, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Well verse with Hazardous Energy Control, Equipment Safety, Material Handling Equipment Safety, Ergonomic Risk Assessment and Controls
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to motivate, influence, coach and drive results
- Well versed with US OSHA and Malaysia OSH, DOE, Fire Brigade and Health legal requirement
- Strong computer literacy skills including mastery knowledge of Microsoft suite (excel, word, power-point) skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence and drive message on complex content, in front of peers
- Strong computer literacy skills including excel, word, power point skills
Preferred qualifications
Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Science or Engineering required
EHS Certification
- SHO certification registration with DOSH
- Competent Person in Scheduled Waste and registered with DOE preferred

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
