The impact you’ll make
Oversees activities related to the purchase of material, material control, inventory control, shipping/receiving and stores functions. Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures and material control systems. Ensures materials are ordered and in stock to meet company requirements, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels. Develops material schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering. Reviews and plans requirements for purchasing materials. May prepare material requirement plans using enterprise resource planning systems. May assist with the establishment and maintenance of the production control system. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
What you’ll do
- Strategy & SLAs: Set multi‑year strategy; own fill rate, order accuracy, OTD,reverse tatic
- Inventory & Fulfillment: Design stocking/FSL/Hub models; ensure critical parts availability.
- Financial & Compliance: Deliver P&L (margin, turns, cost‑to‑serve, DIO); budget adherence; audit/controls.
- Digital & CI: Deploy BI dashboards, forecasting, exception management; lead Lean/Six Sigma and automation.
- People & Culture: Build an inclusive, high‑performing team; drive open, transparent rhythms (weekly ops, MBR/QBR).
- Stakeholders: Align with Service, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and suppliers.
Who we’re looking for
- 10+ years spares/service ops or supply chain; 5+ years leading multi‑site/regional teams.
- Proven delivery of trust metrics, SLAs, and financial outcomes.
- Strength in inventory strategy, reverse logistics, repair/refurb, E&O mitigation.
- Bilingual English and Mandarin with strong on negotiation, facilitation, cross-cultural collaboration, and conflict resolution.
- Systems: ERP (SAP/Oracle) Power BI; advanced Excel

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
