The impact you’ll make

Manages a team of facilities professionals who plan, design, construct, operate and maintain semiconductor cleanroom lab facilities infrastructure (cleanrooms, HVAC equipment, process systems, control systems, etc.). Responsible for department operational expense and capital budget forecasting. Delivers lab and workplace facilities services in line with stakeholder requirements, agreed upon service levels, and occupational safety and environmental compliance programs per Lam policies. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient operation.
Member of both regional and global leadership teams, responsible for developing organizational policies and procedures relevant to delivering facilities services worldwide.  

What you’ll do

•    Manage department staff and outsourced service providers to ensure effective delivery of lab and facilities services that maximize R&D Lab uptime and workplace service efficiency.  Outsourced service providers include gas and chemical handling service providers; process tool support OEM equipment technicians (vacuum pumps, abatement, chillers); janitorial and facilities maintenance service companies, ultrapure water / wastewater treatment operating vendors; and engineering consultants
•    Lead team based problem-solving activities to investigate, identify, and resolve lab and facilities incidents and equipment failures using data-driven methods
•    Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and environmental laws regulating the handling and processing of hazardous materials per local and country regulations
•    Align with business unit senior executives on lab asset management strategies and lab facilities service levels
•    Develop operational expense forecasts and manage performance to approved budget
•    Accountable for annual expense budgets in the range of $15M - $20M USD/year

Who we’re looking for

•    BS in an engineering curriculum
•    10+ years of work experience related to mechanical and chemical process systems 
•    5+ years of managing a department or technical team with responsibility for budget and personnel management
•    Semiconductor industry experience highly desirable

Preferred qualifications

•    5+ years of experience within the chip manufacturing fab or semiconductor equipment manufacturing industry with experience managing direct staff responsible for delivering engineering solution and services in an R&D or production environment
•    Operational finance experience
•    Experience in delivering executive-level presentations

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
