The impact you’ll make
The Facilities Engineering function is responsible for engineering activities within the a firm to ensure that business objectives are met. Includes the creation, development, design and improvement of semiconductor R&D cleanroom and manufacturing facilities as well as office building infrustructure, services, standards and procedures in all facilities engineering diciplines.
Position Responsibilities
Responsible for Taiwan Technology Center electrical infrastructure systems. Core electrical systems of responsibility include, but not limited to:
- High/Medium voltage systems (69kV, 22.8kV distribution)
- Low voltage systems (low voltage distribution, UPS, Emergency Generator/ATS)
- Design, develop, modify Electrical hardware systems
- Selects OEM components and materials for power distribution box/control panel design
- Creates and releases engineering drawings & bill of materials using engineering change management process
- Creates electrical schematics and system based on requirements
- Conducts and drives design review for new concepts
- Assists with development, and refinement of functional specifications for electrical systems and power distribution
- Works with multidisciplinary engineering design teams to design and modify custom and OEM systemcomponents
- Manages and cooperates with outsourced service providers
- Provides electrical engineering design review input and approval for facility infrastructure and process tool installation projects
- Provides electrical engineering construction input and commissioning support for facility infrastructure projects
- Reviews short circuit coordination and arc flash studies and provide input to improve system coordination and reliabilitySupports as-build documentation of electrical system and single line diagrams
- Maintains load/capacity reports for facility infrastructure systems and forecast load growthDrives improvement of electrical infrastructure to increase system reliability and up time
- Experience with standard operating procedure creation and training skill
- Experience with energy efficiency improvement projects
- Works directly with contractors and service providers to ensure delivery of operational results
- Performs Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) during project design development phase
- Capital and expense project financial management and control experience
Who we’re looking for
Typically requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in electrical engineering or similar and a minimum of 12 years of related experience. Skills and knowledge required include:
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Familiar with IEC standards and Taiwan local regulations
- Experience working with government agency
- Highly proficient in power panel electrical circuit design with safety interlocks & 3 phase load analysis
- Good working knowledge in PCB/ Low voltage circuit design for power and control applications
- Expert in application of power and controls technologies for systems automation
- Understanding of AC/DC Power distribution systems required
- Familiarity using power modeling software, especially ETAP
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working with insurance provider (FM Global) to ensure reliable facility operation
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70/NEC code requirements and NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements
- Experience creating equipment maintenance programs to align with NFPA 70B and NETA requirements

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
