The Impact You’ll Make
This senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) position is responsible for implementing the environment, health and safety programs at the Lam Research, Taiwan Technology Center (TTC) facility. EHS program management includes environmental permitting, chemical safety, industrial hygiene, hazardous energy control, respiratory protection, pre-task safety planning, hazardous materials communication, environmental management, and emergency response. Expectations include the leading of a proactive, collaborative, and engaging safety culture. Must partner with laboratory operations and facilities management to drive alignment and continuity.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the environmental compliance programs at Lam TTC, including air emissions abatement and control, wastewater treatment, stormwater pollution prevention program, waste management, chemical management, and sustainability data reporting. Responsible for all environmental programs, procedures, and permits.
- Obtain and manage all environmental-related permits, including the development of operations compliance plans, legal registries, chemical use & storage threshold monitoring, air emission inventory, and compliance calendar.
- Submit regulatory permit monitoring reports, annual operating reports, and calculations as required to the regulatory agencies. Prepare the submittal for permit renewal applications.
- Serve as liaison to regulatory agencies. Manage agency inspections and community outreach. Ensure all community stakeholders, landlords, and agencies are notified as appropriate for environmental permits, emergency response drills, and other activities.
- Knowledgeable of Taiwan regulations pertaining to occupational safety, incident reporting, construction safety, laboratory safety, chemical management, industrial hygiene, hazardous materials management and environmental management. Able to modify Lam global EHS program standards to conform with Taiwan regulatory requirements.
- Management of the emergency response team. Must be able to lead emergency response events, and sustaining activities including emergency response plans, preparedness measures, training, drills, and supply procurement.
- Leads and supports incident investigations, root cause analysis determinations, and the development of preventative or corrective actions. Conducts follow-up verification on completed actions.
- Performs risk hazard assessments for new facility space, equipment, operations processes, and activities.
Who We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
