The impact you’ll make

As a Project Manager at Lam, you will play a pivotal role in driving cost projects for the NPI Materials Team. 

What you’ll do

  • Using software tools, perform regular cost rollups and analyze product cost performance to drive corrective action as required to achieve product cost targets, and manage the product cost roadmap prior to production release. Responsible for resolving discrepancies between cost targets and quoted costs, creates and delivers presentations to program executives and CFT stakeholders
  • Fundamental understanding of should-cost or cost allocation & recognizes opportunities to improve product design for cost/quality/delivery by early supplier involvement
  • Perform routine reports for Standard Cost, Last Purchase Price, and quantity costs to manage and develop plans to bridge gaps between costs
  • Work with Finance and Product Group to forecast product cost projections within the Product Options Architecture
  • Maintain and publish product cost dashboard
  • Assess status of commercial quoting completeness; drive corrective action where activity incomplete
  • Understands concepts of cost drivers; transformation cost
  • Source parts within defined supply chains.  May develop the Product Sourcing Strategy & Supply Chain Plan for the program or execute plans created by more senior MPM
  • Ensure critical parts are sourced with approved suppliers or appropriate deviation approval obtained (PR)
  • Identifies parts exceeding target lead time using released software tools and reports product lead time issues to lead time reduction CFT
  • Able to describe the purchasing process for a single part over the phases of the development lifecycle (47xx,45xx) and R&Rs of participants
  • Limited exposure to Lam manufacturing processes (Pilot, Production/HV).  Expected ongoing development of knowledge of pilot processes & R&R
  • Understand processes and tools for demand management (URBP, 1A / SBOM, Zcooltool, ZSOSEZ, ZERF006, ZR383)
  • Ability to identify content experts and develop product sourcing plans and risk assessments for feature level program under direction of senior MPM

Who we’re looking for

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial)
  • Five (5) years of industry experience in a related role
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Power Point and SAP
  • Ability to read and interpret product BOM's
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to operate independent of day to day supervision
  • Direct experience leading cross-functional teams; Program Management experience required
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking and attention to details for everyday tactical execution
  • Excellent people and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods and commodities as related to cost structure

Salary

 

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: Min: $71,000 -  Max: $165,000.

 

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
