The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.
The impact you’ll make
As an Program Manager at Lam, you will play a pivotal role in driving projects/programs for CSBG. You’ll be at the forefront of project initiation through delivery, using your expertise to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure projectd are completed on time and within budget. In this role, you will directly contribute to CSBG's Reliant and Upgrades Product Lines.
What you’ll do
• Project manage customer special requests - Non-Standard Requests (NSRs) based on requirements defined by Sales and Engineering to meet the customer’s requirements in semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing
• Review and translate customer requirements into engineering specifications including component impact analysis
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and software engineering efforts to meet the production requirements of customer specific systems
Responsibilities:
• Drive clarity in initial customer request. Confirm that Engineering has sufficient information to develop scope, quote and design
• Ensure customer requests are technically feasible and applicable to the product and configuration requested
• Manages and interface with stakeholders and hold them accountable for timeliness and accuracy of their deliverables
• Reduce NSRs by interacting with Product Managers, Engineering, and other teams to cancel redundant design activities
• Managing account team expectations regarding delivery dates. Assess complexity of the customer request and ensure order can be fulfilled within standard product lead times. Validate and approve or reject expedite requests.
Who we’re looking for
Minimum Qualifications:
• BS in mechanical/electrical or system engineering or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of related work experience, semiconductor industry preferred
• Ability to translate customer requirements into engineering specifications including component impact analysis
• Ability to successfully interact with and coordinate across diverse parts of the organization, technical and non-technical
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office suite, especially Excel
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with Hardware Configuration/Product Management, including Bills of Materials and Engineering change processes
Preferred qualifications
• Knowledge of Lam semiconductor capital equipment.
• Experience with MRP system planning, ordering, and scheduling materials, preferably using SAP
• Experience in production/manufacturing environment
• 5+ years of experience in Project Management
• PMP or equivalent certification
• Presentation skills

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
Salary
CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $114,000.00 - $253,000.00.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
