The Impact You’ll Make

Reporting into the Global Product Operations organization, the Production Option Architecture team (POA) is key in delivering the Sales Configuration tools that allow our sales teams to accurately configure our product suite as well as drive the correct Bills of Materials (BOMs) to our manufacturing/production line.

As a POA Team member, you will play a pivotal role in developing the tools that support our ability to configure Lam's product suite.  You’ll be at the forefront…from early definition of product offerings, through releasing it for our account teams to configure for sale, to generating the buildable product BOMs.

What You’ll Do

• The applicant will initially be rotating through the three arms of POA:  SAP VC Modeling (Implementing in our ERP Configurator), Product Structure (BOMs tied to Product Offering), and POA Product Management (Product Offering Options). Ultimately the applicant will be assigned to the group that has the most critical need and fits the applicant’s skillset.  There are opportunities, over time, for transition to other roles within the POA team.
• Initiate and participate in continuous improvement projects (CIP) to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our team. Provide training support for new business partners in the POA process, roles, and responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• The Ideal candidate will have SAP ECC/S4 knowledge, specifically in SAP VC (Variant Configurator), knowledge of Bill of Material structures, Engineering change Processes. 
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional matrix, both technical and non-technical, and with managers and individual contributors.
• Problem solving, critical thinking skills, project management skills, ability to analyze data to support decision making both within and outside the organization.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, etc).
• 5 years of experience working in the Semiconductor or similar High Tech manufacturing industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications plus:
• Knowledge of Semiconductor capital equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• BS/BA equivalent or higher in an Engineering discipline is preferred with 8 years relevant experience.  Familiarity with Lam's Product Release or POA process is extremely desirable.
• Experience with SAP CRM, Siemens Teamcenter.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
