In this role, you will directly contribute to The Etch Product Group.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems. 
  • Create clear and concise reports to present analysis and support technical recommendations. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the specification and development of products. 
  • Provides technical support for installation and/or diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex product issues. 
  • Maintain a high degree of customer engagement including face-to-face and international travel to customer sites supporting near term product releases and solve customer issues. 
  • Work in a cleanroom lab and/or customer semiconductor fab environment.
  • Make decisions, provide guidance, and analyze data to support process teams operating chambers and help lead troubleshooting efforts if problems arise. 
  • Provide guidance, leadership, and decision-making support to lab service engineer team. 
  • Write and update procedures, instruction manuals, technical memos, and problem statement slides. 

Who We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience. 
  • Exceptional analytical and experimental design skills. 
  • Clear communication and presentation skills. 
  • Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time. 
  • Ability to constantly adapt quickly to new issues and challenges. 
  • Has strong troubleshooting ability (plan and execute partition tests swiftly, come up with leading hypotheses logically). 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience. 
  • Prior product design and technical engineer experience is beneficial. 
  • Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment. 
  • Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams. 
  • Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities. 
  • Experience in operating Sense.i tool SW and Lam data analysis software

Salary

 

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $70,000.00 -  $130,000.00.

 

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
