The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.

The impact you’ll make

Directs a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life. Functions as a central resource with design, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing and distribution as the product(s) move through their lifecycle. Directs those involved in the design, modification and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products. Formulates and executes long-term plans for cost/profit control. Promotes use of new technologies and industry-leading trends. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

What you’ll do

This role requires the candidate to manage the brittle materials product lines through the different stages of the product life cycle starting from a leading-edge product to high volume manufacturing to maturity and eventual end of life.  This includes supporting our customers on part optimization to improve customer chamber performance, working with engineering, supply chain, and directly with suppliers on cost reduction opportunities.  The Product Manager is responsible to drive and approve any changes that are required to the Spares brittle materials product lines throughout their life cycle. 

Who we’re looking for

• Bachelor degree or equivalent is required with 4-6 years of supervisory experience.

Preferred qualifications

• Technical expertise in brittle materials including: silicon, silicon carbide, quartz, and ceramics
• Knowledge of manufacturing of each of these materials enabling direct work with supply chain and suppliers on continuous improvement in terms of design optimization and cost reduction options
• Application knowledge of these materials in semiconductor processing equipment

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
