The group you’ll be a part of

Lam Research is looking for a security engineer to join our growing team. The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will support DLP and CASB, focusing on Netskope. The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will also support the Information Security team in security reviews and approvals for new architectures and applications.

What you’ll do

  • Co-own Netskope platform – architecture, roadmap, design, implementation, and optimization
  • Analyze Lam Research business objectives and security strategy and develop supporting DLP rules
  • Enforce data loss prevention policies across the company using technical preventive controls
  • Define, develop, and execute processes to update keywords in partnership with Legal
  • Identify gaps in controls, processes, systems and recommend solutions
  • Partner with GIS and Incident response to tune the content detection rules to improve accuracy
  • Work closely with SOC teams to improve alert fidelity and implement engineering fixes to reduce recurring issues
  • Support security investigations in various systems directly or through service providers and maintain confidentiality
  • Own operationalization of tasks and guidance of Operations team

Who we’re looking for

  • Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a security engineering DLP-focused role
  • 2+ years of experience developing, reviewing, and responding to DLP alerts
  • Hands-on experience with Netskope DLP, managing policies and alerts
  • Experience maintaining comprehensive documentation for DLP program and governance
  • Have experience with reviewing and responding to DLP alerts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ownership mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related discipline
  • At least one of the following processional certifications required: Security+, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, OSCP, GMON

Salary

 

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $137,000.00 -  $287,000.00.

 

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
