Senior Analyst - Corporate Accounting Automation

The impact you’ll make
We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Senior Analyst to help lead automation and digital enablement within our Corporate Accounting Group. This role will manage and enhance our automation toolset—including Alteryx, Power BI, Quickbase, and approved AI solutions—while partnering with accounting stakeholders to deliver scalable, controlled, and sustainable solutions.
What you’ll do
- Own the day-to-day administration, governance, and support of Corporate Accounting automation tools and solutions, including Alteryx, Power BI, Quickbase, and approved AI capabilities
- Maintain platform access, permissions, environments, schedules, connections, and solution inventories
- Monitor workflow, application, data refresh, and dashboard performance; troubleshoot failures and coordinate resolution with Finance, IT, and vendors
- Establish and maintain standards for development, testing, change control, documentation, security, versioning, and production deployment
- Track adoption, reliability, time savings, capacity gains, and other measures of automation value
- Partner with accounting process owners to identify, assess, prioritize, design, and implement automation opportunities across close, reconciliation, reporting, controls, and other finance processes
- Build, enhance, test, deploy, and support Alteryx workflows for data extraction, preparation, reconciliation, exception analysis, recurring reporting, and workflow orchestration
- Develop and manage Power BI semantic models, reports, dashboards, refresh schedules, access, data quality checks, and release processes to provide trusted, decision-useful insights
- Design, administer, and improve Quickbase applications, pipelines, forms, notifications, role-based access, and dashboards that support controlled accounting workflows and clear ownership
- Evaluate and responsibly apply approved AI capabilities to accounting use cases such as document and policy summarization, anomaly identification, knowledge retrieval, workflow assistance, and user support, with appropriate human review and data safeguards
- Ensure automated solutions preserve data integrity, auditability, and SOX requirements, including appropriate evidence, reconciliations, approvals, access controls, and change documentation
- Create and maintain solution documentation, data definitions, testing evidence, desktop procedures, and business-continuity plans; cross-train users and support teams
- Lead user training, intake, adoption, and continuous-improvement activities; translate accounting requirements into practical technical designs and communicate status, risks, and results to stakeholders
- Maintain sufficient hands-on knowledge of Corporate Accounting processes to validate business logic and support US GAAP, IFRS, audit, reporting, and other assigned deliverables as needed
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field is required
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance transformation, analytics, automation, or related roles; Fortune 500 or Big 4 experience is highly preferred
- SAP S4 Hana, Alteryx, Power BI, Quickbase, data analytics, or automation certification is preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 collaboration and automation tools
- Hands-on experience developing and supporting solutions in Alteryx, Power BI, and Quickbase; experience with administration, scheduling, permissions, data connections, monitoring, and production support is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into scalable automated workflows, applications, reports, dashboards, and controls
- Working knowledge of data preparation, modeling, visualization, workflow design, testing, documentation, issue resolution, and change management
- Familiarity with enterprise AI capabilities and responsible use principles, including data privacy, security, human oversight, validation, and appropriate use-case selection
- Knowledge of accounting processes, US GAAP, internal controls, SOX, and audit requirements; IFRS knowledge is preferred
- Strong communication, project management, business partnering, and professional presence, with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences
- Flexible, organized, and able to prioritize a portfolio of enhancements, incidents, recurring operations, and deadlines
- Self-starter with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and continuous-improvement skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- High ethical standards, attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to secure, reliable, well-documented automation

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
