The impact you’ll make
What you’ll do
- Lead the transition of test systems, fixtures, software, and procedures from Pilot to Manufacturing for new products
- Develop, validate, and release detailed test specifications, fixtures, equipment, diagnostic features and documentation to ensure reliable and repeatable testing to support manufacturing readiness
- Ensures PDR / NSR deliverables are in place including test fixtures, test procedures, tests specifications, and control chart
- Resolve manufacturing floor test issues, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and integration challenges
- Improve product quality through data‑driven test strategies, first‑pass yield improvements, cycle time reduction and trend analysis. Analyzes factory non-conformances and field escalations for root cause and effective corrective action
- Plan and manage test capacity, including labor, schedules, and equipment, to ensure effective execution during ramp‑up
- Collaborate with Design Engineering, Pilot Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Factory teams to support successful product transitions
Who we’re looking for
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience
- Has a working knowledge of SAP functions for manufacturing and software skills to create / modify manufacturing’s test scripts
- Strong technical writing skills to clearly document designs, test methods, procedures, and specifications

Effective verbal communication skills to articulate technical issues and solutions with Suppliers, Supplier Engineering, Pilot Manufacturing, and Design Engineering teams

Demonstrated ability to work independently, accomplishing assigned tasks with minimal technical guidance
Preferred qualifications
-
Strong working knowledge of semiconductor capital equipment, including vacuum, pressure, RF power, and gas delivery systems

Prior Field Service Engineering (FSE) experience in a semiconductor fab environment, with strong exposure to tool installation, startup, and customer escalations

Working knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes, including SAP or equivalent manufacturing execution systems

Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) / New Product Transfer (NPT) from Pilot to High Volume Manufacturing

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
