The impact you’ll make

The Business Resilience team, within the Operational Excellence Solutions group, creates an integrated approach to business resilience and leads the corporation in implementing sound strategies to meet recovery time objectives approved by the board of directors, including a unified message on formal customer queries. A Technical Program Manager works with leaders and subject matter experts to align responses to customer queries pertaining to regulations, sustainability, and risk mitigations at Lam. Becoming a part of this team provides an opportunity to work across the company, assisting account executives to increase the level of readiness and accuracy for customer queries.

 

As a Technical Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in understanding customer needs, ensuring the engagement of the appropriate teams within Lam to provide accurate, relevant, and approved responses within the required timeline for external communication. You will be at the forefront with account teams to decipher and arrive at a unified response from Lam.

 

What you’ll do

  • Use your acumen in the semiconductor industry to understand emerging regulations and their implications, and to identify the appropriate teams who are working on mitigations for potential impacts to external situations. Become familiar with new terminology and foundational requirements from a variety of technical regulations originating from various jurisdictions.
  • Learn and develop foundational strategies for discovering how Lam parts and products interact with applicable regulations and identify the data and processes required to ensure ongoing compliance of Lam products with specified regulatory requirements.
  • Lead customer survey response initiatives, ensuring timely data compilation and completion of relevant responses within a predetermined timeframe. Consolidate complex information from ongoing actions and/or assigned projects into level-appropriate written summaries and/or verbal briefings to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate globally with cross-functional stakeholders. Initiate and take part in continuous improvement projects (CIP) to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Need to be creative, strategically adept, meticulous, and capable of synthesizing and abstracting complex information into clear messages for the account teams and executives. The candidate must possess strong experience driving cross-organizational projects to resolution and the ability to work well in cross-organizational and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong business acumen, technical savviness, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects with distributed global teams.

Who we’re looking for

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience and responsibility in the semiconductor industry.
  • Consistent demonstrated performance over several years of applying program management skills in the semiconductor industry, including understanding of regulations, sustainability programs, supply chain risks, etc.
  • Key strengths include discipline, attention to detail, organizational skills, program/project management, proficiency in MS Excel, Power Point and the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Willingness to provide on-call management support when required.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced global environment with flexible work hours.
  • Possess problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent.
  • PMP or Agile certification.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
