Job Overview

The Site Security Supervisor reports directly to the Lam Manufacturing Malaysia (LMM) Security Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day physical security operations at the Lam manufacturing site and managing the on-site contract security staff. The supervisor ensures the effective implementation of Lam Physical Security policies and procedures, as well as country-specific policies, under the direction of the LMM Security Manager. They are accountable for meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), actively collaborating with site leadership, and managing all emergency and routine security communications. Additionally, the Site Security Supervisor works closely with site stakeholders, including Facilities, EHS, and GIS, to support comprehensive physical security operations.

  • Supports and administers organizational security plans and operations.
  • Executes procedures and processes to provide physical protection for personnel and company property and meet required codes and regulations.
  • Compiles data for loss control and accident reports.
  • Supports and conducts internal investigations in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Maintains records, manuals and documentation.
  • For companies with government contracts, coordinates and administers security clearances and other security policies and procedures in accordance with the Department of Defense or appropriate agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage manufacturing plant security operations and responsible for safeguarding company assets and employees.
  • Supervise guarding security staff in conduct of their daily duties according to security operating procedures. 
  • Report to LMM Security Manager on developments and issues affecting the site security operations.
  • Monitor, verify and follow up on the shift report and security incident reports.
  • Responsible to manage security system operation, maintenance, and planning for system enhancement (CCTV and Card Access system).
  • Carry out special project to improve security procedures and security effectiveness of the company/department.
  • Carry out any other roles and responsibilities as assigned by the LMM Security Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge of Security Systems (Logical & Physical Access Control, Electronic security systems etc.).
  • Good written and verbal English skills along with local language fluency.
  • Willingness to provide on-call management support, including nights, weekends, and holidays (if needed).
  • Demonstrated ability to implement consistency in policies and procedures across a site.
  • Define and monitor metrics in line with AOP (annual operating plan) objectives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills and professional level of emotional intelligence necessary to achieve the desired objective deliverables.
  • Skill in decision making and problem solving in the absence of LMM Security Manager.
  • Stakeholder management, both within and various organizations of the company.
  • Exhibit attention to detail, sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks in fast paced environment.
  • Solid presentation, Excel and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferably a former member of law enforcement, military, or similar government service.
  • Preferably has position applicable certifications (APP, PSP).
  • Preferably has a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
