The impact you’ll make

The Unified Communications Manager is critical to Lam Research’s day‑to‑day operations and executive governance, enabling reliable collaboration across the global enterprise. This role ensures stable, secure operation of Microsoft Teams, enterprise voice, video conferencing, and conference room services that support Lam employees worldwide, while also owning delivery for mission‑critical events such as AEM global broadcasts, executive leadership meetings, and Board of Directors sessions. By maintaining high availability, consistent room standards, and strong operational controls, the role directly safeguards Lam’s ability to execute critical business events and global decision‑making without disruption.

What you’ll do

  • Lead global UC architecture, engineering, and operations across Microsoft Teams, enterprise voice, video conferencing, digital signage, and conference room platforms
  • Own Global Events (AEM) and North America conference room service operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality user experience
  • Define the UC technology vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned to business and organizational priorities
  • Oversee deployment, lifecycle maintenance, and optimization of voice, video, and collaboration tools to deliver high availability, reliability, and performance
  • Lead cross-functional teams across Asia, North America, and offshore locations, fostering collaboration and shared accountability
  • Deliver UC and business-unit initiatives, including UC technology rollout and standards for new and renovated sites (real estate projects)
  • Drive budgeting and forecasting, vendor performance management, and contract administration
  • Monitor service queues and SLAs, enforce SOPs, and champion continuous improvement through measurable outcomes

Who we’re looking for

We’re seeking an experienced people leader to oversee Lam’s global Unified Communications (UC) services and enterprise event/conference room technologies. In this role, you’ll lead a globally distributed team and drive operational excellence across the Client Productivity Platform (CPP) organization within GIS Operations.

Preferred qualifications

  • 10+ years of IT leadership experience, including deep expertise in Unified Communications and supporting network/infrastructure services
  • Demonstrated success leading global, distributed teams across multiple time zones
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), SBC/voice infrastructure, digital signage, and ServiceNow
  • Strong vendor and contract management capabilities, with executive-ready stakeholder communication skills
  • Semiconductor industry or large-scale global enterprise experience is preferred

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
