The impact you’ll make
Creates and develops design concepts and specifications that optimize the function, ergonomics, perceived value and appearance of physical hardware products and systems for product consumers and end users. Partners with internal and external marketing and design groups to research and analyze design trends and customer feedback for incorporation into product enhancements, new product design and overall design language and strategy. Produces and validates product design specifications and production requirements with insourced and outsourced manufacturing and engineering groups.
What you’ll do
R & R
- As a key driver for productivity, efficiency, and cost improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in labor standards, time studies, and process optimization.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Industrial Engineers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to achieve business targets.
- Lead or support strategic projects related to capacity planning, layout optimization, and automation.
- Develop and maintain labor standards, routings, and manpower models.
- Conduct feasibility studies, time & motion studies, and process simulations.
- Identify opportunities to reduce Direct Labor Hours (DLH) and improve operational efficiency.
- Support Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Drive layout design and space optimization for new lines, equipment, or products.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare reports and present findings/recommendations to management
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mathematics, statistic or related degree.
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
