The impact you’ll make

At Lam, as an EH&S Engineer, you're instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental safety programs and policies.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to envision and develop the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs for the global logistics operations at Lam Research.  This role will engage globally with the different logistics locations in the U.S., Asia, and Europe to develop logistics safety procedures, training materials, and lead globally-consistent safety programs. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the development and implementation of global logistics safety programs and standards. Creating comprehensive programs for material handling safety, waste management, ergonomics, fall prevention, and others.
  • Ensuring consistent application of these standards across all Lam global sites and third-party logistics providers.
  • Participating in incident investigations, casual analysis, and corrective action determination.  Cascading preventative actions from lessons learned to stop incidents from occurring at sister locations.
  • Performing instructor-led training for a variety of safety programs, including the development of corporate safety and site-specific training materials.
  • Monitoring and evaluating safety and environmental related emerging regulations and legislative changes affecting logistics operations their impact on Lam operations.
  • Supporting regulatory and internal compliance inspections and audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master’s degree or related work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in EHS program management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Must be fluent in English.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
