What you’ll do

  • Manage standard cost requests in the cost accounting email inbox; provide timely response and action to resolve issues and close requests;
  • Analyze and review Bills of Material (BOM) and standard costs to ensure accurate product costing;
  • Analyze complex transactions for Cost of Goods Sold, Inventory and Production Order Variances
  • Complete monthly close responsibilities and Forecast activities related to manufacturing costs, work-in-process inventory, manufacturing accruals and ensuring timeliness and accuracy meeting stringent deadlines;
  • Provide support to the business partners (Manufacturing, Order Fulfillment, Supply Chain )
  • Perform standard cost rollups on a periodic basis and provide revaluation impact analysis;
  • Identify cost accounting process improvements to facilitate scalability and streamlining;
  • Work closely with cross functional operations business partners and the Finance teams (Europe, Asia, U.S.) on critical tool shipments, annual operating plans, metrics, cost roll, variance reporting, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX 404 internal controls and compile documentation to support requests from internal and external auditors.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree or equivalent certification (MBA, CPA, CFA, CA, CMA, or equivalent) with 3+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, dashboards, and data visualization.
  • Attention to details and demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain business partner relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload; effective multi-tasking skills are vital.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal.

Preferred qualifications

  • Foundational understanding of US GAAP and IFRS is a plus.
  • Prior experience within technology, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills.
  • SAP and Business Objects experience is highly desirable or demonstrable strong systems skills.
  • Experience in business intelligence (BI) technologies, tools, and concepts.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse, cross-functional, and international teams including occasional flexible schedules to accommodate time zones.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role.
