The impact you’ll make
As an ESG Data Analyst at Lam, you'll analyze complex business problems and craft solutions that drive a positive global impact. You'll bridge gaps and provide technical expertise to translate business needs and data into functional visuals, elegant systems, and thoughtful analysis and recommendations. Your contributions within dynamic cross-functional teams are essential in supporting Lam’s ESG (environmental, social, and governance) journey.
The ESG Data Analyst supports a variety of data management and calculation activities critical to the ongoing growth of Lam’s ESG program. The role supports reporting, disclosures, and regulatory readiness; drives benchmarking, and the overall success of Lam’s sustainability, net zero, and other impact goals.
What you’ll do
- Support annual voluntary reporting process and data collection as well as future-state regulatory reporting
- Collaborate with various teams to collect and validate global- and site-level data and calculate key metrics for public reporting
- Orchestrate Lam’s annual greenhouse gas inventory
- Complete robust data reviews, including improved data visualization and QA/QC activities
- Follow all relevant internal procedures for data management
- Work with vendors and internal teams to advance data rigor year-over-year
- Deliver data-oriented analysis of Lam’s performance
- Leverage data management platform to collect, manage, and analyze Lam’s environmental, social, and governance data
- Develop, maintain, and evolve dashboards, especially as it relates to programs designed to help Lam meet public ESG goals
- Engage with Logistics, Supply Chain, Global HR, EHS, Facilities, and others to deliver timely analysis and forecasting to drive programs and inform decision-making
- Consolidate data into charts, graphs, and other visualizations as well as written analysist for storytelling, reporting, and other disclosures
- Support development of site- and region- specific analysis
- Build predictive models of emissions based on growth projections and business priorities
Other Responsibilities
- Support technology transformations
- Collaborate on the development of internal AI tools to automate responses and synthesize benchmarking information
- Assign roles within the data management platform, set up tasks within the system
- Build and leverage system reports and dashboards
- Support API integrations
- Support annual and ongoing ESG benchmarking
- Benchmark Lam against peers and the industry across a variety of areas such as: reporting, programs, goals, materiality, and others as needed by Lam’s impact programs
- Respond to customer inquiries about Lam’s emissions and environmental footprint
- Review inquiries from internal partners, develop a database of approved responses, and coordinate with various team stakeholders
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 6+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience in environmental engineering, natural resource management, sustainability, data science, or related field.
- Proficiency with data models, database design and management, segmentation, modeling
- Strong data management, quality assurance, analysis, and visualization skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex information and ideas to meet the needs of a wide range of stakeholder audiences
- Ability to work collaboratively across various internal teams with different data needs, interests, and capabilities
- Tools:
- Power BI, Tableau, Excel SQL, Python, other data calculation and visualization tools
- ESG data management platforms (e.g. Metrio, Watershed, Workiva, etc.)
Preferred qualifications
- The following knowledge and skills are desirable but not necessary:
- Project management experience
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Experience with SQL and databases
- Experience with GHG Protocol and science-based targets
- Familiarity with global reporting standards and frameworks is desirable. This includes but is not limited to: GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB, California, EU, Malaysia, etc.
- Experience with or interest in automation integration, API/data lake architecture, agentic AI
- Experience with ESG disclosure and rater frameworks (CDP, CSA, MSCI, ISS, etc.)
- Experience with freight emissions tools (EcoTransIT, Pedge.io, Gryn, etc.)

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
