The impact you’ll make

At Lam, as an EH&S Training Program Specialist, you will be developing high-end, high-impact training materials for our global workforce, working with subject matter experts within the EH&S organization as well as providing administrative support within our learning management system.

What you’ll do

We are seeking an experienced training content instructional designer, and training program manager, to join the Global Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining high-quality learning experiences that drive measurable business outcomes and safety behavioral changes.  The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360® and advanced skills in the Cornerstone® Learning Management System. This role will manage the EHS training program in addition to content creation. This impactful role will have the opportunity to improve workplace safety and health, and environmental practices at Lam Research’s global locations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the EHS training program, processes, and training system applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand EHS content design needs and determine the best solutions. Design and develop engaging and effective learning materials using Articulate Storyline 360.
  • Manage learning content, training events, and certifications within the Cornerstone Learning Management System. Track training completions and compliance.
  • Lead the design and implementation of adult learning experiences that close skill gaps.  Ensure that adult learning, learning design, and Lam branding standards are applied and followed.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent job experience in training development.
  • Experience managing projects, including scope and schedule.
  • 3+ years of experience designing content and delivering learning initiatives.
  • Experience applying adult learning principles, theories, concepts, and development.
  • Familiarity and expertise with multiple technologies & modalities, as well as practical experience in the application of training development models. 
  • Well-versed and extremely proficient in PowerPoint as a design tool, as well as the other Microsoft 365 suite tools.
  • Experience with learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360/Rise and Camtasia.
  • Ability to design creative solutions using an iterative and collaborative approach.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience using generative AI authoring tools for voiceover and animation
  • Visual talent for graphic design & experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Cornerstone Learning Management System.
  • A passion for innovation and iteration with the digital future of work and AI in mind.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
