You will be part of the Hardware Engineering organization in Lam India, which is a key part of Lam Research’s global engineering footprint. Lam India supports multiple product groups and engineering functions across the full product lifecycle, working closely with global teams to deliver product development and sustaining engineering outcomes. Within Lam India, this team is responsible for the development and sustainment of wet deposition and cleaning products used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, supporting products from early development through release and lifecycle sustainment. The group operates within Lam’s global Product Development Review (PDR) governance framework and collaborates closely with global Product Groups and engineering teams. This role is based in Bangalore, India, and follows a hybrid work model, with an expectation to work from the office for a minimum of three days per week.

The impact you’ll make
What you’ll do
- Lead large, complex technical programs with multiple workstreams and global dependencies, driving aligned execution across engineering disciplines, product groups, and sites
- Define and own program scope, objectives, success criteria, and execution strategy, ensuring delivery meets business priorities, schedules, and budget commitments
- Drive rigorous execution of Lam’s Product Development Review (PDR) governance, including phase‑gate readiness, execution discipline, and closure of actions
- Lead engineering and product ownership transfers from global teams to Lam India, establishing clarity on deliverables, decision rights, handoffs, and sustained operating models
- Proactively manage program risks, issues, and dependencies, using data‑driven escalation, mitigation, and accountability to ensure predictable outcomes
- Establish and maintain strong program operating rhythms, including cadence, dashboards, action tracking, and executive updates to enable transparency and decision‑making
- Partner with stakeholders to deliver process, system, and execution improvements, leading continuous improvement and change management initiatives with measurable impact
- Provide clear executive‑level communication and reporting, synthesizing status, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations while navigating multiple programs in a dynamic environment
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with 12+ years of relevant experience in product development or engineering program environments
- Strong working knowledge of product development, including understanding of product architecture and system‑level trade‑offs, with the ability to engage deeply and credibly in engineering discussions
- Strong working knowledge of structured product development and release processes (PDR or equivalent), including phase‑gate governance, risk reviews, and deliverable readiness, gained at Lam or other product development organizations
- Proven ability to lead execution through influence in a matrix organization, aligning cross‑functional stakeholders, driving decisions, and holding teams accountable without direct authority
- Demonstrated ownership and accountability for end‑to‑end program delivery, ensuring commitments on scope, schedule, quality, and business objectives are met
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to clearly synthesize and present complex technical and program information to audiences at all levels of the organization.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in or deep knowledge of Semiconductor fabrication, Semiconductor Equipment Operations, or related industries is a plus.
- Expert knowledge of Program Management methods and experience in Product Development & Release (PDR) procedures.
- Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
