The group you’ll be a part of

WETS Deposition group at Lam India Global Hardware Technology (LIGHT) is hiring a Project Engineer for its product development engineering and product ownership team.

The impact you’ll make

As a Project Engineer, you will support the development and implementation of WETS Deposition products and upgrades by coordinating simple projects and engineering change activities. Working under guidance, you will track deliverables, support cut-in and change-order execution, review simple-to-medium upgrade requests, and help cross-functional teams complete work safely, accurately, on schedule and in accordance with Lam processes.

What you’ll do

• Writes Std. COs (Status change COs, material change COs) involving simple cut-in strategy and implementation of change orders
• Able to review and Scope out Simple to Medium complex NSRs for upgrade / build forward requirements.
• Proposes & implements solutions for simple PRs (as-built changes)
• Coordinates implementation (inc. writing COs) based on Engineering Approvals for OB/EOL parts w/ drop-in replacement.
• Tracks simple projects (PRs, OB/CIP, NSRs) using basics of Project Management

Who we’re looking for

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
• Experience: Bachelors in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 3-5 years or Masters in Electrical Engineering between 1-3 years
• Basic knowledge of Product lifecycle management and relevant systems (PDM, ERP etc)
• Basic knowledge of Project management and relevant tools
• Capable of tracking & reporting progress of simple tasks using basics of Project management
• Capable of 3D Modelling & Assembly using any CAD package
• Undergoes OJT on Lam specific processes and apply them based on project needs
• Identify & resolve process deviations of simple BoM / change actions
• Collaborate with Engineering and Change analysts for effective cut in of the change orders
• Supports / Contribute to medium scale program / project tracking

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in Semiconductor Wafer Fab Equipment (WFE) domain.
• Experience in capital equipment or similar (for e.g., Semiconductor, Process industries, medical instrumentation, Automotive, Aerospace, etc.) industry in a sub-system / module design project.
• Exposure to supplier coordination, manufacturing execution, quality task forces or field issue implementation.
• Awareness of DFX principles, product safety requirements and quality/reliability workflows
• Exposure to product configuration, option and variant management, and bill-of-material structures for complex equipment.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
