GIS - Business Systems & Applications - Automation

The impact you’ll make

As a Power Platform Architect, you will provide the architectural and governance leadership required to keep Lam’s Power Platform ecosystem scalable, secure, and sustainable as adoption grows across business units.

  • Protect platform integrity at scale by ensuring tenant-level guardrails (DLP, environment strategy, connector governance) are consistently applied, preventing fragmentation and unmanaged growth.
  • Enable business productivity and citizen development safely by balancing speed (low-code delivery) with compliance, architecture standards, and production readiness gates.
  • Reduce operational and compliance risk by owning architectural review readiness, ensuring applications meet quality and governance expectations before production promotion.
  • Sustain delivery commitments across enterprise initiatives by providing continuous architectural oversight for a large and active Power Platform ecosystem (citizen developers, production apps, and automated flows).

What you’ll do

Solution Architecture & Delivery Enablement

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into robust Power Platform solutions.
  • Design scalable applications using Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps, with strong data modeling in Dataverse.
  • Guide engineering teams on solution patterns, design decisions, and reuse strategies to improve consistency across delivery.

Platform Governance, Guardrails, and Compliance

  • Establish and enforce platform guardrails including connector policies, DLP rules, and environment management strategies for safe enterprise and citizen development.
  • Ensure production readiness by driving/validating architectural review expectations (e.g., ensuring apps comply with best practices and meet quality gates before production deployment).
  • Partner with Infosec and broader governance stakeholders by ensuring required reviews are completed as part of production readiness.

Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) & Operations Alignment

  • Drive best practices for managed solutions, versioning, and deployment readiness across environments.
  • Support an enterprise ALM model across managed environments (Dev/Test/UAT/Prod), including promotion gates and change control alignment.
  • Help maintain strong operational posture by aligning architecture decisions to incident management and support expectations for production apps.

Integration & Extensibility

  • Design and review integrations using Power Platform connectors and APIs, including enterprise backends such as SQL Server and SAP.
  • Guide teams on premium connector usage and secure integration patterns to ensure compliance and scalability.

Documentation, Coaching, and Community Enablement

  • Document architecture, design decisions, and best practices; build reusable guidance and reference patterns.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to makers/developers to improve solution quality and accelerate adoption.

Who we’re looking for

  • 12–15 years overall experience, including 5 - 6 years in Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology (or related).
  • Proven hands-on experience designing and developing:
    • Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Dataverse solutions.
    • Managed solutions and solution packaging/version control practices.
    • Integrations using connectors and APIs, including SQL Server and SAP backends.
    • Strong understanding of premium connectors, governance needs, and security/compliance expectations for enterprise deployments.
  • Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications

  • Power Platform certifications (e.g., Power Platform App Maker, Power Platform Solution Architect or equivalent).
  • Experience leading CoE-style governance: tenant-level DLP policies, environment provisioning, license management, security audits, and platform guardrails.
  • Experience supporting large adoption models with citizen developers and high volumes of production apps/flows, requiring continuous architectural oversight.
  • Strong experience defining and enforcing production release gates (architecture readiness, best practices compliance, and alignment to deployment governance).
  • Familiarity with Power Pages and Copilot Studio solution architecture and governance for enterprise usage.
  • Prior experience partnering with global delivery teams and/or vendors while maintaining architectural consistency and governance standards.
