The impact you’ll make

The Product Manager 4 (PM4) is the end‑to‑end business owner for one or more etch products, platforms, or major product families. This role owns product strategy, roadmap, Plan of Record (POR), and Whole Product delivery from concept through release and sustaining.

Operating with significant autonomy, the PM4 leads cross‑functional teams across engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, marketing, and customer support to deliver products that meet performance, cost, schedule, manufacturability, and supportability targets. The PM4 influences portfolio‑level decisions, manages complex tradeoffs, and serves as a senior product leadership voice within EPG.

What you’ll do

1. Product Strategy, Vision & Roadmap Ownership

  • Own and evolve the product vision and multi‑year roadmap for assigned etch products or platforms, integrating customer needs, market dynamics, and technology direction.
  • Lead roadmap alignment discussions with engineering, marketing, operations, and executive stakeholders.
  • Translate strategy into clear success criteria, program vision, and prioritized investment decisions.

2. Plan of Record (POR) & Program Accountability

  • Author, communicate, and govern the Plan of Record (POR) for major programs, options, and sustaining initiatives.
  • Hold cross‑functional teams accountable to committed deliverables, milestones, cost targets, and performance objectives.
  • Manage tradeoffs explicitly, balancing speed, risk, cost, and long‑term product health.

  • Accountable for delivery of a Whole Product that is:
    • Qualified and meets customer performance targets
    • Released into manufacturing with predictable cost and lead time
    • Supportable in the field with complete documentation, training, and spares readiness

  • Serve as a senior voice of the customer, engaging directly with key customers, account teams, and regional marketing.
  • Lead customer roadmap reviews, issue prioritization, and escalation alignment for critical accounts.
  • Ensure product decisions are grounded in customer value, competitive positioning, and commercial outcomes.

5. Cross‑Functional Leadership & Influence

  • Lead large, matrixed cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
  • Drive clarity, alignment, and decision‑making across engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and service organizations.
  • Mentor and coach junior product managers, contributing to capability building within the product management function.

  • Typically 8+ years of product management, engineering, or equivalent experience in semiconductor equipment or advanced technology industries.
  • Strong executive communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership and/or customers.
  • Ability to operate effectively through ambiguity and competing priorities.
