The group you’ll be a part of

In the Global Products Group – Etch, we deliver industry‑leading etch solutions through deep customer understanding, disciplined execution, and tight integration across engineering, operations, and supply chain. The Etch Product Group is responsible for translating technology innovation into predictable, profitable, and scalable products across the full lifecycle.

The impact you’ll make

The Product Manager 3 (PM3) in the Etch Product Group is responsible for owning and executing defined aspects of product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle delivery for an assigned etch product, module, or feature set. The PM3 acts as the voice of the customer and the business owner for their scope, working cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, marketing, and customer support to deliver a Whole Product that meets performance, cost, schedule, and manufacturability objectives.

This role emphasizes execution excellence, disciplined Plan‑of‑Record (POR) ownership, and growing independence in decision‑making, while operating within a broader product strategy set by senior product managers and leaders.

What you’ll do

1. Product Ownership & Strategy Execution

  • Own defined elements of the product strategy and roadmap for an assigned etch product or subsystem, aligned with EPG and business objectives.
  • Translate customer, market, and technology requirements into clear product requirements, success criteria, and POR commitments.
  • Contribute to roadmap reviews and strategy discussions, incorporating feedback from customers, marketing, and technology teams.

2. Plan of Record (POR) & Program Execution

  • Author, communicate, and maintain the Plan of Record (POR) for assigned programs, options, fixes, or productivity initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment across engineering, operations, and commercial teams on scope, cost, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Track execution against committed POR milestones; identify risks early and propose mitigation plans.

3. Product Lifecycle Management

  • Manage assigned products through the full lifecycle: concept, development, release, production, sustainment, and end‑of‑life (EOL).
  • Define and approve product configurations and offerings through the Product Option Architecture (POA) system.
  • Support release readiness by ensuring documentation, training, spares, and field support plans are in place.

4. Cross‑Functional Partnership

  • Serve as the central coordination point between design, process, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and marketing teams.
  • Drive alignment during design reviews, change control (CR/CN), and critical trade‑off decisions within defined authority.
  • Participate as a product stakeholder in engineering change and governance workflows (e.g., Teamcenter/PLM).

5. Customer & Field Engagement

  • Represent the customer perspective by incorporating field data, escalations, and feedback into product decisions.
  • Support issue resolution, ECOGS, and retrofit strategies by defining product priorities and business justification.
  • Engage with sales, account teams, and customers as needed to communicate product value, roadmap, and changes.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
  • Typically 4–7 years of experience in product management, engineering, technical program management, or related roles in complex systems environments.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business and product decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross‑functionally in a matrix organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with semiconductor capital equipment, etch technologies, or adjacent domains.
