The group you’ll be a part of

This position is based in Bangalore and reports to the Modeling Manager in India. The role involves close collaboration with both local and global product teams. The main responsibility is to simulate complex multi-physics problems to support product or process development. The individual will work closely with engineering teams in the US and Asia

Primary Responsibilities

Develop Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models for complex reactor systems to support product and process development.

Learn and explore multi-physics problems involving CFD, including thermal, flow, and mass transport.

Collaborate with engineers across various Business Units to resolve customer issues by simulating process conditions and recommending design improvements.

Document modeling activities through detailed reports and present findings to Product Development teams.

Enhance modeling techniques by defining methods for multi-physics problems (thermal & flow,) and publishing Best Known Methods (BKMs).

Mandatory Skills

Strong background in Fluid and Heat transfer, Discrete Phase Modeling (DPM)& computational fluid dynamics (CFD)

Proficiency in using software packages such as ANSYS FLUENT & OPTISLANG,

Skilled in performing 1D flow and thermal simulations, along with analytical calculations

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn simulation results into practical design recommendations.

Knowledge of building Reduced Order Models (ROMs) and surrogate models to enable faster simulations and quicker results

Preferred qualifications

Educational qualification: M.S./M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

Years of Experience: Masters with 5 years of relevant experience
