LIDAS (Lam India Data Analytics and Sciences) team is responsible to provide best-in-class analytics solutions that help improve business decisions in Global Operations and other business sub-functions across Lam.  This Organization, a “Centre of Excellence” (CoE), consists of a high-performing team of experts who collaborate cross-functionally and provide analytics solutions to various business functions to suit their business needs. This team strives to improve the productivity & efficiency of business processes through business analytics, data science & automation projects. The resulting projects help accelerate businesses/stakeholders in decision-making by providing data insights. The team continuously develops the required technical skills and business acumen to help solve complex business problems & Use Cases in the semiconductor, manufacturing, and supply chain domains for the company.

The impact you’ll make

Directs the activities of a data science team responsible for the design, development, programming methods, processes and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for businesses across the company. Oversees the development of software programs, algorithms and automated processes that cleanse, integrate and evaluate large data sets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies and communicates to stakeholders, meaningful, actionable insights from large data and metadata sources. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring the efficient operation of the function.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Years of Experience:      Minimum 15 years
  • Job Experience:               Should have worked as a Manager of Managers for Data Science and Analytics organization delivering enterprise-wide BI, Applications, Automation and Advanced Analytics solutions. Preferrable if worked in Multinational Hi-Tech or Manufacturing industry, operations or manufacturing functions. Should have worked with teams across the globe.
  • Educational: Master's or Ph.D. in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

    We are seeking a seasoned senior leader to lead multiple sub teams focussed on delivering analytics solutions for multiple supply chain and operations sub functions. This person should be a proven people manager and strategic thinker. This person should be able to optimize the organization for the future by leveraging performance management, training and development. Should be hands on technology in order to guide the team on creating solutions adhering to Enterprise Architecture. Should have a record of delivering operational & advanced analytics and automation projects, ensuring the creation of robust, scalable, and innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will combine deep functional expertise in manufacturing, supply chain operations in the context of delivering analytics solutions. Should have a strategic mindset to drive the development of cutting-edge analytics, AI/ML solutions in cloud platforms adhering to enterprise architecture and security needs.

  • Should be hands on for ad hoc analysis – should be knowing data sources, SQL, proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Should be proficient in prompt engineering.
  • Should be on top of the latest in Advanced Analytics technological advances.
  • Should have a track record of successfully implementing complex Analytics/Automation/AI/ML/DL enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Hands-on working experience in project management and agile methodologies. Tools like MS Project, etc.
  • Good skills in managing Stakeholders’ (internal and external) Expectations.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
