WETS Deposition group at Lam India Global Hardware Technology (LIGHT) is hiring a Electrical Technical Lead Engineer for its product development engineering and product ownership team. This role plays a critical part in defining next‑generation electrical hardware platforms for wafer fabrication equipment.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own and influence PDR process deliverables, technical deliverables, obtain design review approvals and achieve project milestones
  • Validates design using prototype or simulation and design verification testing (including test stand development). Safety policy & procedure adherence is mandatory
  • Proficient in concept design and development of medium-high complex electrical/electronic circuits.
  • Uses various Engineering/Quality/Analysis tools/processes to arrive at design decisions.
  • Ability to perform critical review & approval of medium - high complex designs/circuits.
  • Ability to finalize/influence detailed design requirements of complex circuit / sub-systems with CFT (ME, safety, system engineering, thermal, etc).
  • Executes Electrical Engineering technical assignments, projects with primary focus on designing, developing, modifying Power distribution and Control Panels. 
  • Select electrical OEM components (Circuit Breakers, Contactors, Relays, terminal blocks, cables, busbars, connectors, etc.) and materials for Power distribution / control panel design.
  • Creates electrical schematics for power boxes and system interconnects based on requirements received from cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Creates and releases engineering drawings & bill of materials using Engineering Change Management process.
  • Experience in setting up equipment for experimentation / testing in laboratory environment, setting up safe practices.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Proficiency in assessing loading, performing SCCR calculations, thermal calculations, wire sizing, busbar designs, switchgear selection, etc. for power boxes and panels
  • Proficiency in handling multiple configurations, logic for EMO, LOTO Concept, multiple power inputs and outputs.
  • Define cable and harness design strategy – segregation of power, signal, communication, safety along with shielding, grounding, noise immunity philosophy
  • Guide and review cable harness designs along with proficiency in connector selection, pin mapping and failure mode mitigation
  • Define system level bring up and verification strategy including power up/down sequences, interlock validation, controls & safety behaviour verification
  • Expert level knowledge of Engineering change management, Obsolescence management & problem-solving skills
  • Must have worked on electrical engineering CAD tools like E3 ZUKEN or equivalent CAD packages for circuit design & simulation, form board flattening for EE documentation.
  • Experience with FMEAs, structured Investigation, Problem Solving & Decision Making.
  • Familiar with standards like – S22, S2, S8, UL 508, IEC 60947, NFPA79.

Eligibility Criteria:

 

  • Education: B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Experience: Bachelors in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 5-8 years or Masters in Electrical Engineering between 3-5 years

Desirable Skills:

  • Ability to define functional requirements and execute in a dynamic team environment.
  • Familiar with design for serviceability, manufacturability, reliability.
  • Highly proficient at troubleshooting systems with tools like network sniffers, protocol analyzers, and tool logs.
  • Experience in troubleshooting with problem-solving techniques such as 5-why, 8D, fishbones, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical presentations.
  • Experience in semiconductor industry or related (industrial, automotive, military).
