Join Lam as an Electrical Engineer and you'll be at the forefront, designing and developing electronic solutions for advanced applications. Your role involves designing and analyzing equipment, conducting experimental tests, evaluating results to create reliable cutting-edge solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • This position is for the Manufacturing Engineering Department at Lam India, Bangalore, and closely working with Pilot & HVME Manufacturing engineers, test engineers, industrial engineers across global build facilities.
  • You will be providing module/sub system level power and control solutions for complex equipment (fixtures, outriggers, test equipment) for all phases of manufacturing.
  • You will be required to conduct and drive successful design reviews to get buy-in from all cross-functional teams & stakeholders for new design concepts. Provide support on sustaining engineering activities such as cable assy schematic and system interconnect schematics design, mistake-proofing of designs (e.g. poke-yoke of connectors, cables, etc) and provide resolution to PRs. 
  • Provide accurate and timely resolution to design related production issues encountered during the build process of fixtures, outriggers & test equipment. 
  • Accountable for ensuring adherence to design standards and schedules, maintaining on time delivery with quality as part of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in electrical & Electronics Eng., Electronics & Instrumentation Eng., Electronics and Communication Engineering with 4 - 8 years of relevant experience. 
  • Proficient in creating engineering requirement specifications, development of power & control architecture, component selection, interface, control and monitor of input/output (I/O) peripherals such as motors, RF generator, Pressure/Flow sensors, etc.
  • Expertise in delivering end-end (concept to production) controls solutions (such as PLC) for electrical and electro-mechanical systems/subsystems and power distribution
  • Prepare and analyze test plans and procedures to ensure that technical and operational requirements are met and properly demonstrated
  • Must have worked on any one of electrical engineering CAD tools like ORCAD, ZUKEN or equivalent CAD packages for circuit design & simulation. 
  • Expertise in Engineering Change Management
  • Work with cross-functional teams & suppliers to deliver and implement projects on time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with capital equipment or similar (for e.g., process industries, medical instrumentation, automotive, aircraft, etc.) industry in a sub-system / module design project.
  • Experience in working with cross-disciplinary teams (including mechanical, electro-mechanical, software, process, manufacturing engineers) for major projects with multi-national work environment.
  • Familiarity of working with microcontrollers, automation software, python programming is desirable
